Double page spread

I have typed up my double page spread interview below, I have kept the tone friendly and relaxed so that it can be read more like a conversation than anything.

This months cover star is no other then Miss Clara Sparrow, Clara has shot to fame over the last few years, becoming a sensation in America, Japan and right here in the UK.
Clara has just released her latest album ‘bon bon.’ which shot straight to the top of the charts within it’s first week.
Here at the The Alternative we have been desperate to get an interview with Clara for quite a while and so as you can imagine we jumped at the chance to have a quick Q and A with her. Luckily so did she...
Clara it’s great to finally meet you, weve wanted to talk to you for a while
(Laughs) You should have said, I love this magazine I used to buy it when I was young, I think this mmagazine and top of the pops are probably the main factors when it comes to why I love music. If I had known you wanted me I would have come sooner, but then again I have been pretty busy.

Thats so nice of you to say,and to say your busy is an understatement, I dont think you have stopped over the last four years have you, how has life changed?
Immensely, looking back at when I first started it feels like yesterday but so much has changed, from going from my little council flat back in Ruislip to being in a different country almost every night it’s an experience I never want to forget or end even.

So your new album has just been released and it’s already in the top 20, how do you feel?
Great! I cannot believe it, people have responded really well to these songs and I feel like I really have made it now.

What is your favourite track on the new album?
It has to be ‘Pink Lemonade’ even though it isn’t the most popular track on the album it just feels really personal to me and my story really. Songs really are my way of expressing my feelings and this track pretty much sums it up for me.

We’ve heard there’s a few collaborations on there, who did you work with?
Yeah there is, my favourite has to be my work with Adelade I have always loved her work and this really was a privilege.

So many people have compared you to people such as Florence Welsh, what is it like to be compared to someone so big this early in your career?
Yeah it is nice, but I feel like I am trying to do my own thing. Florence is great and I love her work but I am trying to get away from that image and get my own.
It has been rumoured, that you are starring in a new blockbuster alongside Will Ferrell, is it true?
Well yes and no really, I have been offered the part but I don’t know if I will take it or not. I can’t really discuss it all I can say is it’s a work in progress.

So you’re in the last leg of your second worldwide tour, what is it like being on the road?
It really has been amazing, but to be honest I’m glad its over, I’m so tired I just want to get back home and relax for a while.

Absolutley, I think we can all agree that you deserve a break for a while, but what do you plan on doing afterwards?
I have no idea whatsoever (laughs), to be honest I just want to keep making music, and music that everybody likes, but at the same time it has to be something that I enjoy aswell.

It’s been great talking to you Clara, one last question, will you promise to come back and talk to us next year?
(Laughs) Don’t worry I will definitely be coming back, I’ve really enjoyed talking today and will count down the days till next year!
